Down time to paint

Random 'art' dump and A trip to the Nature Museum (Ottawa!)

Oh 2013 came so fast!

I keep looking back to 2012 wondering what was accomplished, as drawing definitely wasn't high on the list.

Instead, everything seemed to be food related! Or almost. Lots of baking after acquiring a beautiful new Kitchen Aid. Things like croissants and strudels...

Went back to childhood love of cross stitch and made this little number for a birthday present~

For the first time ever, my brother and I made a gingerbread house! I must say it was amusing watching my brother with a piping bag. Mum added a little addition of her Smart Car in front of the fence. Rather charming first try?

Late in 2012 while between contracts, I decided to sign up for cake decorating courses. It was definitely fun and eventually I signed up for a little cake contest. Theme: Winter

Nothing like cardinals feasting on seeds, eh?

As vowed every year, 'draw more'. And it is always easier when you got a friend in tow to follow the resolution with you!

Last weekend, despite the nasty weather that fell on our city,  Collin Tsandilis and I trekked over to Ottawa's Nature Museum to sketch/paint.

On a side note, another good friend of mine is kicking off her new years with more animation! See the almighty insanely bizarre work of Joyce Hu ~

That's all for now folks, hopefully get some more stuff up and hoping! This year's goal on top of sketches is food photography! Let's do this~

D04: Naga

D03: Slime

Cleaning up after yourself bites at times. But it could always be worst.

D02: Centaur

30 Day Monster Boy/Girl Challenge - D01: HARPY

Believe it or not, this is actually something suggested at work! Although I know it won't be possible to complete it in full due to a week and half vacation later this month...going to still try!

-Day 1: Harpy -

Something different, and its Thanksgiving this weekend! Fits the definition as turkeys can be damn vicious little (smelly) buggers!

Really need to get back into the groove....

It's strange...I never believed people when they told me that once you work nonstop in production, you lose the drive for sketching as a past time.....

And then months passed without any new sketches...oops!

Here's a little something, done during a lunch hour early Feb in MS paint. And a mish mash of other stuff...

One Hectic Summer...almost over!

It's hard to believe that summer is over...but doesn't mean I haven't been arting! As most of you already know, I've moved back to Ottawa and joined the Big Jump Productions Crew to work on season 2 of Ugly Americans, currently airing on Comedy Network (in Canada) at 10:30pm!

Its always nerve wracking, the first gig...you always wonder..."what will they make me do?!"...it is quite horrifying. Although the technique is a little funky, it was similiar enough to how the school film was approached..partial symbol animation, majority classically done... and the first scene assigned? A naked, hairy man yelling scary things into the telephone... D:

Anyways, updates are coming up, as soon as I am legally allowed to show stuff :) And once a scanner is purchased...anywhoos, stay tuned, and if you get the chance, you can catch a glimpse of season 1 and 2 here online!

A lil delayed but here we are :)

Took a while, but finally get a chance to do my update :) Made for Mother's Day, 8 months in the making, numerous sushi consumed to ease aching stress...

Also, I'd like to point out Golden Sun: Dark Dawn was an awesome game to play!

Art dump soon...

I'm sorry blog, I have not forgotten about you...
Will eventually post something about the film since that is the current major focus XD but for now...

We all got our lousy days...

Because WIP is important...

Happy New years all! Can't believe its 2011...

Good lord, can't believe it is the last 4 months of school...ever...or at least until I decide to go back to school... anyways!

A quick work in progress update!

This is the latest leica screened back in December...

4th Year Film - Leica - December Screening.

Since soon after it was the holidays, no one really works on the holidays despite the best of intentions...So the progress since the screening is minimial. Currently developing a quick colour script, which had been an interesting juggle...

It is strange...I've always envisioned hippo being a grey purple, a classic cartoon hippo colour. The girl, she's gone from pink dress to orange back to pink. Trying to combine that with varying backgrounds has been trying, and often creating disgusting combinations! If you have any suggestions, please do post! Or let me know if it is working! Would rather know before the paint process starts :D

Searching searching...

Posters are poppin up all over the school searching for help for films, preparing for the looming second semester...

I for one am searching for a Pianist (ideally classically trained) to perform/record Clementi's Sonatina in C Op 36 N. 3

Help me out, if you guys know of someone poke me! Thanks!

Edit: Excited! Got recordings coming up! Thanks for the email guys!
