Oh 2013 came so fast!

I keep looking back to 2012 wondering what was accomplished, as drawing definitely wasn't high on the list.

Instead, everything seemed to be food related! Or almost. Lots of baking after acquiring a beautiful new Kitchen Aid. Things like croissants and strudels...

Went back to childhood love of cross stitch and made this little number for a birthday present~

For the first time ever, my brother and I made a gingerbread house! I must say it was amusing watching my brother with a piping bag. Mum added a little addition of her Smart Car in front of the fence. Rather charming first try?

Late in 2012 while between contracts, I decided to sign up for cake decorating courses. It was definitely fun and eventually I signed up for a little cake contest. Theme: Winter

Nothing like cardinals feasting on seeds, eh?

As vowed every year, 'draw more'. And it is always easier when you got a friend in tow to follow the resolution with you!

Last weekend, despite the nasty weather that fell on our city,  Collin Tsandilis and I trekked over to Ottawa's Nature Museum to sketch/paint.

On a side note, another good friend of mine is kicking off her new years with more animation! See the almighty insanely bizarre work of Joyce Hu ~

30 Day Monster Boy/Girl Challenge - D01: HARPY

Believe it or not, this is actually something suggested at work! Although I know it won't be possible to complete it in full due to a week and half vacation later this month...going to still try!

Something different, and its Thanksgiving this weekend! Fits the definition as turkeys can be damn vicious little (smelly) buggers!

Really need to get back into the groove....

It's strange...I never believed people when they told me that once you work nonstop in production, you lose the drive for sketching as a past time.....

And then months passed without any new sketches...oops!

Here's a little something, done during a lunch hour early Feb in MS paint. And a mish mash of other stuff...

One Hectic Summer...almost over!

It's hard to believe that summer is over...but doesn't mean I haven't been arting! As most of you already know, I've moved back to Ottawa and joined the Big Jump Productions Crew to work on season 2 of Ugly Americans, currently airing on Comedy Network (in Canada) at 10:30pm!

Its always nerve wracking, the first gig...you always wonder..."what will they make me do?!"...it is quite horrifying. Although the technique is a little funky, it was similiar enough to how the school film was approached..partial symbol animation, majority classically done... and the first scene assigned? A naked, hairy man yelling scary things into the telephone... D:

Anyways, updates are coming up, as soon as I am legally allowed to show stuff :) And once a scanner is purchased...anywhoos, stay tuned, and if you get the chance, you can catch a glimpse of season 1 and 2 here online!
